THE TEAMS OUT IN THE COMMUNITY GIVING BACK TODAY, THE RAVENS AND T ROWE PRICE HOSTED A SECOND ROUND OF THEIR HIGH SCHOOL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE. OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR, STUDENTS FROM BALTIMORE CITY AND COUNTY WILL LEARN WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A LEADER. THE STUDENTS HAD TO BE NOMINATED BY THEIR SCHOOL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. TODAY’S FOCUS MOVED FROM LEADING YOURSELF TO LEADING OTHERS. WE USED, YOU KNOW, CURRENT EXAMPLES, STORIES FROM THE TEAM TO DO THAT. AND IF THEY WALK AWAY WITH JUST SOME SOME IDEAS THAT THEY CAN REFLECT ON, ON THEIR PAST LEADERSHIP AND HOW THAT MIGHT APPLY TO THEM BEING MORE SUCCESSFUL IN THE FUTURE, THAT WOULD BE A HUGE WIN. Rowe Price on Wednesday hosted a second round of their High School Leadership Institute.Over the course of the year, students from Baltimore City and Baltimore County learn about what it takes to be a leader. Students are nominated by their school to participate in the program.Wednesday’s focus was about leading yourself and leading others.”We use current examples, stories from the team to do that, and if they walk away with just some ideas that they can reflect on their past leadership and how that might apply to them being more successful in the future, that would be a huge win,” said Marc Kolp, executive director of the University of Baltimore-Baltimore County’s Center for Leadership and Innovation.The leadership institute meets four times throughout the school year and ends with a culminating celebration event in the spring.
